Voyal

Voyal (Val) is being leased from Danny Ryan of Kerry Hills Kennel in Rhode Island.  She has a tremendous racing record as a AA and stakes winner and was a finalist in 2007 Twin River American Derby.  Voyal's dam 'Sastee' was the 2001 Lincoln Inaugural Champion Ran 2nd the following year in the 2002 Lincoln Inaugural.  Her sire Taziluz was a monster AA at Wonderland and 1997 Track Champion. His litterbrother Deslant was former 5/16 track record holder @ Wonderland.  As an added bonus to her great bloodline and career Voyal is absolutely gorgeous. Voyal has been bred to Hayvril with pups expected in the last week of August.  These will be racing pups so not available for pet purchase but we will keep everyone posted here on how they are coming along anyway.  This is an incredible oportunity and we couldn't do it without the help of Danny Ryan.

 Oneco Rosalind

We have just aquired the lovely Rosalind from Danny Ryan of Kerry Hills.  Rosalind's sire is the great producing "Oswald Cobblepot" with his dam "Valensky"  bringing in Irish imported blood through her dam "Just Lilly".  Rosalind's dam "Oneco Slainte" comes from the great producing Irish imported line of "Dalcash Vixen".   She is coming from a long productive racing career at Lincoln Park and we are very excited to have her added to Cashel farm.  We don't anticipate breeding her until at the very soonest - January or February of 2009.

CF Picaboo Streak

Picaboo's mother Cashel Zulu Dawn was my first lure courser and one of my favorite dogs.  One day while she accompanied me riding horseback in some vast open ground Zulu put up a jackrabbit and with no other dog to help and nowhere for the jack to go to ground she 'ran her back off'.  I was able to save her with days of IV fluids but approximately three years later I lost her to complications related to the damage done that day.  I will never forget Zulu as she had so much heart and love.  I have two of her daughters to carry on with in Picaboo and Leica.  Picaboo has a distinguished lure cousing career with a Regional Best in Field and CLCA Best of Breed Greyhound for four years running.  Picaboo has always been very consistant on the field with a no nonsense approach to her work.  She is compact and very fast with the ability to pour on amazing speed combined with supreme cornering.  She is a wonderful mother but sadly had to be spayed this year after a dangerous c- section.  The pups offered this year are her first and last.

Testarossa

The lovely "Leica" is another daughter of Monty and Cashel Zulu Dawn.  Leica is easily the smartest dog in the kennel and if we had - had the time she could have proven to doubters that greyhounds can make excellent obedience and agility dogs.  She is a wonderful lure courser but her clownish temperment has provided some interesting situations on the field.  When right on she is hard to beat though bringing the Fantasy Trophy back home again at the 2003 II three years after her father did.  It is planned that Leica will be bred to CF Time Bandit resulting in a litter in late summer or early fall 2008.  As Leica is beginning to get up in years this will likely be the only oportunity to obtain pup from her.

CF Dark Charlote

Kira is a lovely black female with Irish coming in top and bottom.  She shows off her Irish blood with a large patch of white on her neck revealing that she carries a gene for the pretty Irish pattern (collie markings). She is just beginning her lure coursing career and is beginning to show some good promise.  If all the signs are right she may be bred in the winter and we will have pups available from her.  Otherwise we will wait until spring.

CF Anam Cara (picture coming soon!)

Tara is as fair as Kira is dark.  Anam Cara means Soul Friend in gaelic and it fits Tara perfectly as she is the sweetest little angel of a pup.  Tara is still under a year so hasn't been doing anything but eating, playing and growing but she will start her lure coursing later this year.  Tara is the only daughter of our star Picabo and we have high hopes that she will carry on her mother and grandmother Zulu's tradition of greatness.

Rogue Mary

Mary or Moirne ("Great" in gaelic) as we now call her to avoid confusion with Kerry comes to us from Rogue Brothers.  A young lovely white bitch with sable (officially red but she is almost tri color) spots Moirne has an amazing pedigree with her dam of Greys Free Fire boasting the great Fortress and Representation.  Moirne fits her name as she was an excellent racer at Raynham and Wonderland and her first time out lure coursing scored a phenominal 151 points on her first run.  A cut pad prevented her finishing the competition this time but we will toughen her feet up and if her maiden run is any indication - she will be tough to beat in upcoming coursing competitions.

Windrock's Chynna Doll

Chynna is now retired and makes her home with Renada Rhoder in Breckenridge.  She was the mother of several half and halfs that did extremely well in the AKC confirmation ring as well as doing some exceptional work in the areas of lure and open coursing.  As you can see from her picture she is stunning to look at and comes from the renoun Windrock, and Martigra Kennels.  Her pedigree has a long history of champions.  Her bloodline crossed with Bel's Montana has produced some truely amazing dogs for Cashel Farm.  She still has some young pups from her last litter coming up and we are excited to see how they turn out.
